A large percentage of the vitamins and nutrients you’ll find in synthetic supplements are actually lost because they cannot be absorbed properly by your body. Instead of using them to be healthier, you just flush most of them away. That’s a waste of money and of health potential.

This question is about all the different types of Cocoa Via chocolate bars that Dove is marketing in the health food and supplement aisle at my local pharmacy. There is blueberry almond, regular, crispy, etc… and now I hear they are making drinks. The bars cost a lot, and I want to know if they are actually significantly healthier than a normal Hershey’s, and how their taste compares; in specific, which is the best flavor? Thanks!

I don’t think they’re worth the price, you could get the same antoxidents for less money by just adding raw cocoa powder to your morning coffee. Plus, they’re high in fat. Consuming dark chocolate in an attempt to protect against cardiovascular disease has been described as ‘cutting off one’s nose to spite one’s face’.

EDIT: And yes I’ve tried them, and I didn’t like them. I like some dark chocolate, but these were just not sweet enough for me. And the blueberries in them were TOO sweet. The whole taste of it was just not good chocolate to me.
